Advanced Kidney Care.
Compassionate Physicians.

For more than 40 years, Nephrology Associates of Tidewater (NAT) has provided expert kidney care to patients throughout the Hampton Roads community. Founded in 1978 by Dr. Duane Wombolt, NAT was the first nephrology practice in the region dedicated to comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease.

Today, our board-certified physicians continue that tradition by combining advanced medical expertise with a personalized approach to treatment. We understand that kidney disease affects every patient differently, which is why we focus on individualized care plans designed to support each patient’s health, comfort, and quality of life.

At NAT, we believe excellent care goes beyond diagnosis and treatment. Our team is committed to delivering every interaction with compassion, respect, and a dedication to helping every patient live as fully and independently as possible.
