Emily Burke
Emily Burke, PA-C, earned her Bachelor of Science from Old Dominion University in 2014 and her Master of Physician Assistant degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) in 2018. Prior to PA school, she worked as a clinical lab assistant, primarily supporting renal and cardiac transplant patients.
She has spent the last four years in nephrology, treating patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD). Emily is committed to helping patients manage comorbidities to slow the progression of kidney disease, while also providing support and care to those on dialysis to optimize their quality of life.
She believes that strong communication and meaningful patient-provider relationships are key to delivering high-quality care.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys outdoor activities including gardening, sports, and spending time with her family.
