Dr.  Mirza 

Dr. Alamgir Mirza completed his Internal Medicine residency at Drexel University College of Medicine and spent 10 years practicing as a hospitalist in Virginia before pursuing his passion for kidney care. He went on to complete his Nephrology Fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School and joined Nephrology Associates of Tidewater in 2019.

He is board certified in Nephrology. His clinical interests include chronic kidney disease, renal transplantation, electrolyte and bone-mineral disorders, and home dialysis. He has also contributed to the field through research and presentations with the American Society of Nephrology and other medical journals.

Dr. Mirza sees patients at our Kempsville office and cares for patients at Sentara Leigh Hospital.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his children and fishing.
